		Details: No more high delivery and layout costs, no nail, no staples, no hammer, and no clips. Less fiddling less labour and less time to erect. Late in 2000 Tristar engineers developed a new steel post that would remove the previously held belief that when using a steel vineyard post, a timber post was needed every so often in a row. This is the case if conditions in the vineyard were regarded as 'extreme', e.g. row length, canopy height and/or weight, or wind shear. The result of this challenge was the Tristar designed, manufactured and trademarked post called Ramshead. With a cross section that is shaped like a rams head the Ramshead post provides unmatched strength and resilience in the toughest of conditions. Patents, design registrations and trademarks have been obtained. Vee-post and Ramshead are roll formed sections that have slots punched in predetermined positions for securely retaining trellis wires. The post slots have been designed to provide equal wire retention whether the wire movement is up or down. The design of the 'tongues' in the slots is radiused in cross sections to increase resistance to deformation from harvesters and other mechanical equipment.
